Travel English의 세 번째 포스트는 기차역에서 기차표를 구매하는 내용을 다루어 보려 한다.
요즘은 인터넷 예매가 보편화 되어 있지만, 회원 가입이나 해외에서의 카드 결제에 대한 보안상의 부담 등으로 기차역에서 직접 예매하거나 구입하는 것을 선호하기도 한다.
아래 2개의 대화 예문들 중에 하나는 일부러 야간 침대 열차를 이용하는 상황을 설정해 보았다.
Ticket Agent: Hello, welcome to Hua Lamphong Station. How can I assist you today?
Passenger: Hello, I'd like to buy a ticket for an overnight train to Chiang Mai. Could you assist me with that?
